Awesome job on this - I love the more realistic look. The eyes and poison claws practically glow. Really makes them stand out.

Thanks. Actually, I'm surprised nobody thought of doing an AU set in Egypt before. I was inspired by another fanfic set in early American settler times (was and never will be completed, unfortunately, according to the author's notes). But, it got me interested in writing an AU, and what better setting than a land with animal headed deities? Think about the number of youkai and hanyou with animal traits.
